Overview


Kings College Hospital, one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching trusts, invites applications for a Specialist Hepatology Teaching Fellow position. This exciting opportunity allows candidates to contribute to the institute's excellence in liver clinical care and research.



Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is estimated at £47,877 - £72,103 per annum, plus a London allowance. As an employee, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including access to Consultant support during on-call periods.



Job Description


This role will be based at King's College Hospital, with regular reviews to ensure alignment with the Trust's goals. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, medical professional, and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality healthcare to patients.



Main Responsibilities



  • Contribute to fixed clinical commitments, tailored to clinical training needs and service requirements.
  • Play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group, focusing on teaching and training junior staff.


Requirements


Candidates must possess a Registrar or equivalent training in gastroenterology and/or Hepatology (ST 6 level or above). Previous involvement in research projects and publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly valued.



Person Specification



  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and exam preparation.
  • Able to work effectively within a close-knit team, cooperating with medical and paramedical staff.
  • Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
