Warehouse Supervisor Opportunity

UCH Logistics Ltd is a leading provider of specialist transport services to the airfreight industry. We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

This role will oversee the daily activities of all Warehouse Operations, ensuring a high standard of service is provided to customers and drivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising night shift teams, ensuring freight is labelled correctly, and ensuring all documents accompany the freight.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience in the transport and logistic industry, as well as experience in supervising warehouse operations. They will be able to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders, offer guidance and support for all warehouse ops, and have good commercial awareness and decision-making skills.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of up to £14 per hour, depending on experience, and will be entitled to 28 days holiday, rising to 30 after 2 years, including public holidays. Immediate start is available.

In accordance with industry regulations, the successful candidate's Right to Work in the UK will be verified at interview stage, and a full 5-year background check will be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise night shift teams
  • Ensure freight is labelled correctly
  • Ensure all documents accompany the freight
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded in a safe and timely manner
  • Ensure all movements are in line with CAA and UCH regulations
  • Assist with customer queries and internal queries
Requirements
  • Knowledge of and experience in the transport and logistic industry
  • Experience in supervising warehouse operations
  • Ability to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to offer guidance and support for all warehouse ops
  • Good commercial awareness and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and operational systems
  • Fork lift driving experience
