We are seeking a highly experienced Distribution Operations Manager to join our team at a leading Food Manufacturer based in North Wales. This role will involve overseeing the distribution of a diverse range of market channels, with a focus on multiple grocers, export to various territories, and retail eCommerce (FMCG).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an annual plan to ensure seamless delivery and enable the sales & marketing team to maximise sales opportunities.
- Manage day-to-day operational matters, including Q4 staffing roster and reserve resource, while having foresight of the longer-term business horizon.
- Maintain the highest standards of excellence in safety, quality, and hygiene to ensure customer orders are to specification and received on time.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers, including logistics partners, to ensure contractual and service requirements are delivered.
- Manage courier shipping providers to deliver significant performance metrics.
- Accountable for effective stock management, warehouse organisation, and food traceability.
- Manage the operational facility, including sourcing, training, and supervising colleagues.
- Provide visibility of accurate management information and KPIs to galvanise the team in the business.
This role requires a highly experienced Operations Manager with a focus on effectively coaching your team to do their best work, injecting pace and dynamism into the facility, and communicating effectively with different audiences.
