Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Murphy. As a Senior Quality Lead, you will be responsible for championing world-class quality and driving the effective deployment of our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement a quality strategy for our Framework, aligned to our Murphy Integrated Management System.
  • Proactively drive the deployment of the Quality Management System, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches for continual improvement.
  • Ensure suitable mechanisms are established and deployed to progressively check and assure compliance, actively participating in checking activities relevant to your technical competence.
  • Support the achievement of 'Fit to Finish' working collaboratively with others to enable effective close-out of projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures, and other stated requirements.
  • Maintain responsibility for the audit programme of the Framework and support attainment of third-party certification.
  • Establish and deploy mechanisms to track, monitor, and report quality management performance and identify improvement focus areas.
  • Champion quality improvement activities, such as the application of quality improvement tools, facilitating workshops, and investigation of quality incidents.
  • Champion and support activities, including training, coaching, and mentoring, to instil the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to positively influence behaviours and embed a world-class quality culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a Quality managerial role.
  • Demonstrable site-based experience within civil engineering or construction is essential.
  • Experience within the water industry would be beneficial.
  • Relevant Quality Membership (MCQI) is desirable.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualified.
  • Solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
  • MS package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
