About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the execution of the construction phase in their designated section, ensuring work is performed according to project plans and specifications.
  • Develop and implement effective construction methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality in their section.
  • Manage the construction programme, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and regularly monitor and report on the progress of construction.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly look ahead schedules to forecast the progress of work and ensure that all work performed adheres to the project's quality standards.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations in their section.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise in the section and provide feasible solutions.

About The Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Engineer with a strong background in highways engineering and construction management.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).

They will also have experience in the construction industry, particularly in highway works, and proficiency in using engineering software like AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Office 365.

Familiarity with UK building and construction regulations is essential, as well as holding a CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS card.

A full driving licence is required for this role.
