Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team in London, covering a range of commercial and residential sites.

In this role, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet required standards and comply with relevant regulations.

  • Service & Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and testing of fire alarm systems to guarantee compliance and operational readiness.
  • Repairs & Fault Finding: Diagnose and repair faults on various fire alarm systems, minimizing disruption and responding quickly to client needs.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current fire safety regulations and maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs completed.
  • Out-of-Hours & Overtime: Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota for emergency repairs and be willing to work overtime for urgent jobs or projects.
  • Installation Support: Occasionally assist with the installation and commissioning of new fire alarm systems when required.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems.
  • FIA (Fire Industry Association) qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • A valid UK driving licence is required for site visits across London.
