As a highly experienced vehicle technician, you have the opportunity to work with a leading brand in Volvo Car UK. Our goal is to push the boundaries of innovation and safety in the automotive industry.


We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join one of our well-known retailers based in the Huddersfield, York, and Harrogate areas. You will become part of a team of experts who support each other to deliver exceptional service to our customers.


Your key responsibilities include:



  • Servicing and maintaining all vehicles across the brand, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty-approved work in line with brand parameters.
  • Conducting Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties if qualified.
  • Completing job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms.
  • Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).
  • Supporting Apprentice Technicians as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with Level 2 considered.
  • A team-player attitude, comfortable operating within set processes and procedures.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Motivation, dedication, and organisation, with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • An MOT license would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be offered.
  • An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
