The SATCOM Technical Support Specialist is responsible for a team providing technical assistance and support for satellite communication systems deployed in the field. Their primary role is to ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SATCOM equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support installing, configuring, and integrating SATCOM equipment, including antennas, modems, routers, switches, and associated hardware.
  • Ensure proper alignment, cabling, and equipment connectivity. Conduct system maintenance and monitoring, SATCOM network management, fault diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.
  • Maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
