About the Position: This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a secure environment, helping maintain essential infrastructure for the Ministry of Defence. Security Clearance, including a Counter Terrorism Check, will be required.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing planned and preventative electrical maintenance to ensure systems are fully operational.
  • Diagnosing and replacing failed electrical components.
  • Responding to electrical breakdowns and completing repairs in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Engaging in fault-finding and problem-solving across electrical systems.
  • Installing electrical systems in accordance with provided design and IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Monitoring and ordering critical spares to ensure system continuity.
  • Supporting local and business zero-carbon initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards across all work activities.

Requirements:

  • A technical qualification such as City & Guilds 2365 (Parts 1-3), NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) - If you hold the 17th Edition, we will sponsor your upgrade to the 18th Edition.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, including general distribution, installation, and testing.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • An ability to work independently, using initiative to resolve issues.
  • The capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A basic salary of circa £40,000 dependent upon experience.
