Chef de Partie Position
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Plumpton College.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a professional and hardworking individual to work in our catering service, supporting our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding experience for students and external clients.
Using locally sourced produce and meats from our own farm, we strive to provide high-quality cuisine that meets the diverse needs of our students and conferences. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and enthusiastic team player with a track record of working in similar environments or fresh produce catering establishments.
Key Responsibilities- To assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for students, staff, and external clients
- To maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- To contribute to menu planning and preparation, taking into account dietary requirements and student preferences
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent position in a similar environment
- Is able to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Is committed to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Can demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners

The estimated salary for this position is £13.11 per hour, plus holiday pay (£1.6) totaling approximately £14.71 per hour.
