Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

At Elysium Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our vibrant team at Rhodes Wood Hospital, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support children and young people aged 8-18 with eating disorders.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, delivering tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will involve understanding symptoms, patterns, and origins of psychological distress, as well as conducting risk assessments and reviews.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for reviewing referrals and determining appropriateness for admission, conducting admission assessments, and ensuring effective management plans for all young people on the unit. You will also be required to allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs, assess physical health, and ensure effective liaison with referring teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice. Experience of CAMHS eating disorders is desirable.
