Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Development Scientist to join our team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will have a strong background in drug delivery device development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to determine performance factors of drug delivery devices.
  • Support interactions with external vendors and internal partners for design verification, shelf life studies, and manufacturing process qualification.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and internal audits.
  • Apply statistical and scientific expertise to solve problems creatively and independently.
  • Use analytical and statistical tools to analyze data and quantify functional performance characteristics.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent in a relevant science or bioengineering subject.
  • Good theoretical knowledge and understanding of academic subjects.
  • Previous experience in device design control systems and drug delivery device testing.
  • Working experience in test method development and validation.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and/or electronic testing of drug delivery devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in teams in the development or troubleshooting of drug delivery devices.
  • Knowledge of analytical method development, design verification, specification setting, and stability testing.
  • Deep statistical data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, such as ISO 11608, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601.
