Job Title: Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist and Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist and Team Leader to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Podiatry team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality foot health services to patients with diabetes and other complex medical conditions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead a comprehensive foot health service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care. You will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, including patients with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, vascular insufficiencies, and other disabilities.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for line managing a team of Podiatrists, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of new services and initiatives, working closely with our partners across Surrey Downs Health & Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality foot health services to patients with diabetes and other complex medical conditions
  • Manage a complex caseload, including patients with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, vascular insufficiencies, and other disabilities
  • Line manage a team of Podiatrists, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  • Develop and implement new services and initiatives, working closely with our partners across Surrey Downs Health & Care
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care
Person Specification
  • Podiatry Degree
  • Relevant CPD in biomechanics
  • Post graduate training
  • Broad spectrum clinical experience
  • Awareness of trends and policies in NHS
  • Experience leading a team
