We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to contribute to our client\u0027s team in the nuclear space. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality Technical Documentation, including 2D and 3D Design, calculations, Bill Of Materials, specifications, and design reviews.

The Design Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering the Design Package through its lifecycle processes, procedures, and instructions. This includes ensuring all requirements are populated, reviewed, analyzed, and prioritized from the conceptual phase to the detailed design and release of deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical/Design Engineering, with experience in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and Document Revision Control. They will also possess a solid understanding of Engineering standards, HSE, and Quality principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and understanding of Regulations, Standards, and Specifications to extract Requirements affecting the Design Package.
  • Defining and organizing the Design Package production, including understanding what shall be produced as Deliverables and non-Deliverables.
  • Liaison and Coordination with relevant stakeholders to gather all requirements and specificities for preliminary and detailed design.
  • Liaison with the Engineering/Design Lead to define and prioritize Design Requirements, maintaining an auditable record of Design Requirements identified.
  • Actively participating in Design Reviews and HSE Reviews to assess whether a modification requires an impact analysis of the Design Requirements.
  • Ensuring solutions identified during Design Reviews are correctly implemented.
  • Understanding and defining HSE requirements & CDM regulations.

Production of Design Deliverables:

  • Producing documentation in accordance with Framatome Limited processes, conforming to the Design Requirements, enabling internal approval and acceptance by the Customer when applicable.
  • Ensuring studies for the Design Package follow relevant Standards.
  • Producing concepts accurately and efficiently.
  • Proactively seeking best solutions and working autonomously.
  • Checking BOM and ensuring appropriate Industry Standards are used.
  • Checking Deliverables against requirements, specifications, and applicable Standards.
  • Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD Design in accordance with Framatome Limited instructions and guidelines, as well as relevant Standards.
  • Producing Technical Documentation in accordance with Framatome Limited processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Managing Design changes and Design Configurations.
  • Performing Design Analysis and associated activities.

Required Attributes:

  • Mechanical/Design Engineering (HND or equivalent)
  • CAD software proven experience (preferably SolidWorks) and Document Revision Control
  • Engineering standards knowledge
  • HSE and Quality understanding
