We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Caterpillar, North West Industrial Estate, Peterlee.
Job Summary
As a Chef, you will be responsible for supporting food orders, ensuring customer and colleague safety, and maintaining kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting with food orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Ensuring the safety of customers and colleagues in the kitchen
- Checking all food for allergens and compliance
- Running and supervising kitchen sections to meet Head Chef standards
- Preparing, cooking, and serving a range of meals following recipe cards
- Completing daily paperwork for due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries, stock checks, and ordering
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, and hot cabinets
- Participating in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
- Having full knowledge of all menu items served
Requirements
- Relevant culinary qualification desirable
- Experience working in a kitchen at a chef level
- Allergen awareness (i.e. Natasha's Law), full training will be given
- Excellent team player and communicator
- DBS required
