About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Support Specialist to join our team. As a Mortgage Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to brokers across all aspects of the product lifecycle, dealing with queries from initial registration to post-completion relating to secured mortgages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist brokers to maximise new business opportunities across the residential mortgage and second-charge mortgage market.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with broker partners and internally with the underwriting and sales team.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails from broker partners regarding potential and existing loan referrals or system queries.
  • Assess complex referrals from broker partners, looking for early decisions on potential cases, liaising with the underwriting team to deliver a high level of service.
  • Assess income referrals to ensure cases meet affordability rules at all early stages of the process.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of lending policy, criteria and products along with the Broker Portal and system to be able to resolve queries relating to the portal.
  • Participate in the delivery of training to new and existing brokers in conjunction with the sales team when required.
  • Manage incoming queries generated by the website from mortgage intermediaries and the general public.
  • Take responsibility for managing Feeefo reviews and responses on behalf of the second charge division.
  • Follow up on documentation sent to introducers.
  • Updating data on spreadsheets and producing reports.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the mortgage market involving relationship-building.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, logical and organised.
  • Approachable and self-motivated.
  • Proactive and able to identify and highlight areas of opportunity or improvement.
