Senior Quantity Surveyor

CV Library is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a high-profile nuclear project. The successful candidate will have expertise in NEC contract forms and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 per annum.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing change through CEMAR, ensuring compliance with contractual timelines. They will also provide commercial guidance to the site team and management on all contractual matters.

The successful candidate will oversee supply chain management, drafting and issuing NEC3 subcontracts, and ensure clear communication of contractual obligations.

They will prepare internal contract valuations, ensuring precise assessments of project costs and progress. Additionally, they will produce monthly cost and value reports, presenting them to senior management.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will maintain effective communication with project managers, the managing QS, and related engineering disciplines. They will also compile forecasts, attend forecast meetings, and contribute to data-driven decision-making and proactive risk management.

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of NEC contract forms
• A relevant degree-level qualification
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A driven, self-motivated attitude with strong commercial acumen
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Experience in generating both internal and external reports
• Experience in Nuclear, M&E, or Civil Engineering (desirable)
• Relevant professional qualification (RICS/CICES) (desirable)
