Network and Systems Engineer

Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a highly skilled Core Systems Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Opportunity:
As a Core Systems Network Engineer, you will be responsible for taking a DevOps-first approach to ongoing deployments and continuous improvement works to increase capacity as the company grows its subscriber base.
You will be heavily involved in the software and hardware life cycles for Core Network managed devices, including vulnerability management and patching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration of core network equipment
- Working on a range of network types including FTTP, Fixed Wireless, and Mobile
- Assisting Core Systems Manager/Network Manager when required
- Strong knowledge of Automation - Ansible/using APIs to integrate network services
- Programming and Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PHP)
- Juniper experience or certified to JNCIP-SP or Cisco (CCNP) equivalent level
- MPLS, LDP/RSVP/SR experience
- CoS/QoS implementation knowledge
- BGP/ISIS/OSPF experience
- Experience in a multi-vendor network environment - HP/Aruba, Dell, Fortinet
