Job Role Overview:

The Procurement Contract team at Airbus Defence and Space Limited is a transversal team operating throughout Europe, collaborating with the Commodity and Project Supply Management teams in the Space Systems and Connected Intelligence Business Lines. The team provides contractual expertise and support to Key subcontractors and Suppliers, facilitating negotiation and post-signature back office support or direct procurement activities.

The role of the Procurement Contract Specialist involves managing the definition and implementation of procurement contractual policy, taking into account inputs from relevant commodity management, legal, Finance, Insurance, and Export departments, as well as applicable regulations. The specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement strategies for bids and technical and contractual requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the negotiation and implementation of procurement contracts and help resolve issues post contract supporting Through Life Support.
  • Analyse supplier proposals, identifying risks and assumptions, and proposing contractual terms advising internal stakeholders on contractual implications.
  • Contribute to and develop new procurement contract awareness material, and coach internal stakeholders in contractual governance and policies, contract templates, and negotiation skills.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a degree in Legal Contract Law or Business Law.
  • Interest in finding, developing, and implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Language skills: English advanced, French and German not mandatory but welcome. Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance or be subject to a BPSS check, including a criminal record check.
