About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and repair work on a range of electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, pumps, fans, VSDs, lighting, and associated control gear.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance and defect repair work on electrical equipment
  • Repair and maintenance of the traffic safety system on the approach to the Dartford tunnels
  • Read drawings and carry out fault finding and repairs without supervision
  • Carry out all types of civil, electrical, and mechanical maintenance work within the capacity of an Electrical Technician
  • Drive vehicles as required for maintenance purposes
  • Ensure that all relevant Health & Safety requirements are met and safe working practices are adopted at all times

Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g., City & Guilds
  • Current Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (18th Edition are current)
  • Card holder (or willing to undertake training) in Authorised Person an advantage HV, MEWPS, Confined spaces training, Inspection & Testing C&G 2391, CSCS Safety Card, IPAF, PASMA, G39 (DNO EQUIPMENT), Working at Height (Harness Training), and First Aid
