About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Technician to join our team at CSL Seqirus. As a Process Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Operations
    • Operate and maintain the Effluent Treatment Area plant, ensuring the processing of virus and chemical-containing waste streams from manufacturing areas.
    • Monitor and maintain critical utilities, including purified water, water for injection, steam, and compressed air, using GLims for data input.
    • Complete relevant documentation in accordance with cGMP and legislation.
    • Operate the CIP (clean-in-place) system.
    • Prepare and set up production lines for manufacturing.
    • Receive and handle raw materials, components, and consumables.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Maintain and promote a cGMP-compliant culture, ensuring the highest standards of quality and housekeeping within the area.
    • Be accountable for own and peer-group safety, working and operating plant in a safe manner in accordance with UK legislation, Seqirus mandatory policy, guidelines, and site procedures for Health, Safety, and Environment.
    • Report any safety or quality issues via appropriate systems.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Maximize individual contribution to achieve team objectives, working as a team member, providing and receiving support, feedback, and communication with fellow team members and the Team Leader.
    • Communicate and liaise cross-functionally with members of other teams, customers, and suppliers to meet business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Undertake mandatory training courses required for the role in a timely manner, ensuring personal training records are up to date.
    • Develop new skills, competencies, and behaviors to fulfill current and future business needs.
    • Contribute ideas and actions via Lean-Manufacturing, structured Problem-Solving, 5S, Waste-Elimination/Reduction, Energy Efficient Activities, and other Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    Requirements
    • Proven experience working in chemical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology production.
    • Previous experience working in an engineering support function.
    • Ability to work in a cGMP and HSE-regulated environment, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working in a Health & Safety environment.
    • Ability to follow complex procedures and instructions.
    • Have a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electronic/mechanical equipment.
    • Competent in training to operate a Process Control System (PCS).
    • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
