HGV Class 2 Driver/ Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator

Austin Fraser requires a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to fill a critical role on the Isle of Wight. As a Highways Operative, you will oversee the safe operation of plant equipment and adhere to relevant technical specifications and health & safety protocols.

Your key duties will involve:

  • Inspecting and maintaining vehicles.
  • Collecting and delivering materials.
  • Performing general groundwork and site operations.

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • A valid Category C Licence and substantial commercial driving experience.
  • Background in civil engineering, construction, or highways sectors.
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks and possess sufficient physical fitness.

This role starts immediately and includes a standard 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday. Opportunities for temporary-to-permanent employment may arise for the right candidate.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £26,800, based on £13.04 per hour plus overtime pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate when applicable.
