At First Response Finance, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence in compliance. As a Compliance Officer - Regulatory Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring our business practices align with the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective horizon scanning to identify implications of regulation and market best practice on the business.
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance in generating and maintaining compliance oversight, including identification, assessment, management, and resolution of conduct and regulatory risk issues.
  • Supporting the creation, improvement, and maintenance of our customer outcome management information and surveys.
  • Providing regulatory compliance education and training in support of the business.
  • Representing First Response Finance at relevant external committees and meetings.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience with key regulatory developments applicable to First Response Finance (Consumer Duty, CONC, GDPR, etc.).
  • ICA Qualification or equivalent, or a desire to engage with self-learning opportunities and enroll on a suitable external Compliance-based qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to influence others.
  • Experience of using data and statistics to aid decision making.
