Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Team Leader to join our team at Farmfoods. As a Retail Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the management team in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide an exceptional customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for running the shop in the absence of the manager, ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop a team of retail assistants.
- Take responsibility for the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
- Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
- To be a 'people person' who finds it easy to get on with everyone and is able to build strong working relationships with colleagues.
- To be trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team, and your team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
- Some experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or a similar industry would be beneficial, but we would still love to hear from you if you think you have what it takes to take the first steps in your retail management career.
What We Offer:
- An hourly pay rate of £12.50 and a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours work per week, resulting in a minimum of £200 per week.
- Overtime may be available for those looking to earn more.
- 6 weeks' holiday per year.
