Job Information

School Administrator Apprentice

We are seeking an organised and efficient School Administrator Apprentice to provide administrative support in relation to all operational matters, including HR, Estates, and Finance tasks.

The successful candidate will also provide administrative support to the school reception and reprographic functions as required.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and has excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to work flexibly, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and other members of staff
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and events
  • Develop and implement effective filing systems and procedures
  • Process payroll, purchase orders, and other financial transactions
  • Support the school's HR function, including recruitment, training, and employee relations
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality
  • Highly organised and efficient with effective prioritisation skills
  • Experience using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications
  • Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, staying calm under pressure and meeting deadlines
