About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide 1:1 support to a lady in her 50's who has a diagnosis of Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia and Frontal Lobe Syndrome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to the individual, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, gardening, and socializing, to enhance the individual's quality of life.
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package.

Requirements

  • Experience in social care, ideally within mental health, with a focus on supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Ability to provide encouragement and support to individuals with challenging behaviors.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and a minimum of 6 months' employment history in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
