Career Opportunity in Oncology
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Oncologist to join our team at NHS Grampian. As a Consultant in Clinical Oncology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cancer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will have expertise in the management of HPB and Lower GI cancers and will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The hospital offers a range of facilities and services, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy units. You will also have opportunities to engage in teaching and research at the University of Aberdeen.
As a Consultant, you will be expected to provide leadership and guidance to junior colleagues and contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines. You will also be involved in education and training programs to ensure that all staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
To be considered for this role, you must have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP). Applications from doctors with appropriate specialist training and experience who are not listed on the GMC Specialist Register can be considered for a Locum Consultant post if no substantive Consultant appointment is made.
The estimated salary for this role is £93,000 - £116,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension schemes, health insurance, and annual leave entitlement.
