Our Operating Groups

We operate across four groups: Military Aircraft Group, Commercial Aircraft Group, Industrial Group, and Space and Defence Group. Our Industrial Group focuses on the design and testing of high-spec Servo valve products, Cartridge Valves, Actuators, Control Systems, Autonomous systems, and more.

About the Internship

This is a real experience of work, not just work experience. You'll be hands-on, working with technical experts every day, and will have the opportunity to develop in areas such as Advanced 3D CAD, Design For Manufacture, Design For Assembly, 3D Printing, Materials, Engineering maths, and Product Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical skills in design engineering
  • Work on real-world projects with technical experts
  • Contribute to the design and testing of high-spec products
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Industrial Group

Requirements

  • Second-year undergraduate on a relevant degree (or equivalent) such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Interest in developing a technical career within Engineering
  • Detail-driven, with experience in CAD, drafting, and GD&T
  • Articulate, both written and verbally
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels
  • Team player, self-motivated, methodical in approach, quick to learn, and able to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable experience in practical problem-solving
  • Practical workshop skills, either in University projects or in your own outside interests
