The Role

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you will lead the delivery of key client projects in the UK, Northern Europe, and North America. Your responsibilities will involve building trusted relationships with our clients, finding creative ways to solve complex problems, scoping projects, and delivering those projects either on your own or as the lead in a small team.

You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels of technical experience and seniority, engaging on projects you lead or deliver as part of a team. You'll be responsible for:

  1. Designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data infrastructure, including Google Cloud and Snowflake DW.
  2. Transforming and modelling data into consumable information and business logic using tools like dbt and Dataform.
  3. Developing dashboards, explorations, and data visualisations using tools like Looker and Power BI.
  4. Mentoring and guiding cloud data engineers.
  5. Leading projects using Agile scrum/kanban techniques.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Real-world experience with Google Cloud, dbt, Looker, Fivetran, and/or Snowflake.
  • An excellent grasp of SQL, data modelling, cloud data warehousing, and database design.
  • Experience using software development methods (git, CI/CD, code reuse, etc.).
  • Experience in a consulting role and strong ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, motivated by both commercial and technical aspects of working for a consultancy.

  • Estimated salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per year, plus bonus scheme.
