About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and personable Network Consultant to join our Professional Service Team. As an extension of our vendors and reseller technical teams, you will work on a blend of Network and Cyber Security presales and installation consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team at a technical level with pre-sales requests.
  • Provide sales with recommendations regarding orders and equipment specs.
  • Demonstrate products to partners and end users remotely via webinar and in person.
  • Lead Proof of Concept engagements.
  • Prepare hardware for loans, ensuring configuration is to specification.
  • Support the consulting team with solution designs, preparing hardware for pre-staging.
  • Implement data centre racking and stacking of hardware.
  • Scope statement of works documents for projects.
  • Gain and maintain skills and certifications in vendor products as assigned by technical management.
  • Be a technical expert/champion for specific products as assigned by technical management.
  • Perform on-site or remote consultancy on behalf of end customers.
  • Post deployment support at an implementation level.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 plus years' experience working in a technical infrastructure or security focused IT role.
  • Experience of working within Enterprise IT environments and familiarity with industry operational practices (e.g. ITIL, change processes, project delivery).
  • A strong networking background to at least CCNA level or equivalent, including experience of firewalls and VPN solutions.
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
  • Good working knowledge and experience of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Experience in a customer service-based role and enjoy building relationships both internally and externally.
  • Full driving license and a willingness to travel, staying away from home.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally on a limited basis.
  • Must be able to pass BPSS checks and security clearance.
