Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified dentist to join our Public Dental Service in a salaried dental practice setting within modern and well-equipped surgeries.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a remote and rural dental team, with a strong focus on patient-centred care and continuous improvement.

As a Dental Officer, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of dental treatments for patients of all ages with a variety of dental needs across the island, rural or town locations.

You will enjoy working with a full range of dental treatments and participate in a programme of supported CPD, with opportunities to develop expertise in specific areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality dental care to patients of all ages
  • Work in a salaried dental practice setting within modern and well-equipped surgeries
  • Participate in a programme of supported CPD to develop expertise in specific areas
  • Work in a remote and rural dental team with a strong focus on patient-centred care and continuous improvement

Benefits

  • Salary range of £49,089 - £73,633 per annum (pro rata)
  • Remote Areas Allowance of £4,500 per annum (pro rata)
  • Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 per annum
  • Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £25,000 paid over 2 years (subject to eligibility)
  • Up to 33 days annual leave per annum plus 8 public holidays (pro rata and depending on NHS service)
