About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Aviva's Global Corporate Speciality (GCS) department of Legal Indemnities team. As a Senior Legal Indemnity Underwriter, you will be responsible for making day-to-day underwriting decisions regarding the acceptance and rating of risks within detailed guidelines and agreed authority limits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling your own caseload, underwriting new business and working within Aviva's Brand Values.
  • Proactively developing your own capability to improve individual and team performance, ensuring we're risk compliant as an organisation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of core Legal Indemnity risks, with experience of underwriting Rights to Light, European Title and Title to Shares risks being desirable.
Requirements
  • Track record of being responsible for own underwriting caseloads within a regulatory environment, following due process and within set authority limits.
  • Sound product knowledge and market awareness, with a strong networking presence in the London market.
What We Offer
  • Starting salary between circa £45,000 in London and circa £35,000 nationally, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
