About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Library and Information Services Coordinator. As part of our Library and Information Service, you will be responsible for providing an efficient, responsive, and courteous service to our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to users of the service, responding to their queries and needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the delivery of library and information services, including the maintenance of collections, shelving, and cataloging.
  • Participate in events and activities, such as reading groups, storytelling sessions, and IT training sessions, to engage with our community and promote literacy and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service goals and objectives, and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • 2 Highers or equivalent, including English or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a library or information environment, with a demonstrated enthusiasm and interest in books and libraries.
  • Good communication, organizational, and IT skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage competing priorities.
  • A flexible approach, with a willingness to participate in events and activities outside of normal working hours.
