About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Erith. As an Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible.
- Handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs.
- Support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.
Requirements
- Engineering qualification and hands-on experience.
- Good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, including PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems.
- Organised and meticulous, with great analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Comfortable working safely at height and willing to work a 24-hour shift pattern.
