About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Erith. As an Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible.
2. Handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs.
3. Support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.

Requirements

• Engineering qualification and hands-on experience.
• Good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, including PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems.
• Organised and meticulous, with great analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Comfortable working safely at height and willing to work a 24-hour shift pattern.
