Are you a skilled Biomedical Scientist looking for a challenging role in Microbiology? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Microbiologist to join our team at Wye Valley NHS Trust.

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Biomedical Scientist to lead our Microbiology department.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced microbiological analysis and surveillance to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and advance the laboratory's quality systems to meet UKAS requirements (ISO 15189).
  2. Oversee/maintain/lead the Quality Management System within the department.
  3. Assist with budget management, including staff overtime/on-call payments.

What You'll Need

  • Current Registration with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Evidence of further study in Biomedical subjects and Continuing Professional Development.
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures underpinned by theoretical understanding and practical application in Microbiology.

Salary and Benefits
