Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Lead to join our QHSE team at Work Lyf Group Limited. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a rail safety critical environment and be knowledgeable on relevant legal and industry responsibilities and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to staff at all levels of the business
  • Interpret relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance etc and relay these in an appropriate manner to relevant staff
  • Ensure all policies and practices are regularly reviewed and updated as required
  • Support operational teams with the production of risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements are implemented
  • Undertake occupational exposure monitoring, assist external providers as required and provide advice on risk management and health surveillance
  • Assist with the development and undertaking of HSE Audits and Assessment Plans
  • Proactively identify key-areas of non-compliance and improvement and take action alongside site management for improvement
  • Develop and deliver HSE training and identify suitable external providers as required
  • Take the lead on coordinating and facilitating safety committee meetings
  • Accurate production and reporting of metrics
  • Deputise for QHSE Manager as and when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 3 Health & Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH National Certificate
  • Minimum Tech IOSH, preferred Cert IOSH or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Desirable but not essential:
    • Auditing qualification
    • Fire risk assessments
    • Noise risk assessments
    • HAVS assessments
    • COSHH risk assessments
    • Environmental management
    • Quality management
