Training Opportunities:

We are offering subspecialty training in advanced stroke medicine to prepare trainees for a lead role in stroke services. Successful completion of this training will contribute towards subspecialty accreditation in stroke medicine through the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB).

Training Details:

The training post is available to trainees from several different parent specialties, including geriatric medicine, acute medicine, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. Training can be individually tailored to ensure all aspects of the JRCPTB stroke medicine syllabus are covered.

Training Locations:

Training will take place at various NHS sites across Scotland, including Queen Elizabeth II University Hospital, Glasgow, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary/Raigmore Hospital, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, and Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.

Duration and Start Date:

The training post is typically 12 months in duration, although this may be adjusted based on individual trainee needs and availability. The start date will be in February 2024, although flexibility is available to accommodate trainee requirements.
