About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Humber Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all SHEQ records, including accidents and incidents, improvement reports, and internal and external complaints.
  • Conduct safety inspections on projects and operating companies, and support the Business Units in maintaining certified SHEQ systems.
  • Check and correct according to legislation and regulations, and ensure the effectiveness of the BSS Management System following internal audits, inspections, and workplace visits.
  • Initiate improvement measures arising from checks, inspections, sissers, and near misses.
  • Draft and review basic and project HSE plans, and Job Risk Analysis.
  • Provide advice on quality, working conditions, and the environment to ensure the Business Units operate at the highest possible level.
  • Investigate incidents, improvement reports, NCRs, and (near) accidents, including sissers.
  • Maintain contacts with customers, subsidiaries, external agencies, and supervising audits.
  • Support policy making and the compilation of annual plans and annual reports regarding the realization of the SHEQ policy.
Requirements
  • Either holds or working towards, NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
  • Responsible to General Manager and reports to the Global SHEQ Manager.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and flexible, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
