About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join our forward-thinking physiotherapy team in Swansea Bay University Health Board.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a number of multi-disciplinary professionals to assist people in their recovery and return to the community.

The service covers various medical specialties including respiratory, gastroenterology, care of the elderly, endocrinology and neurology.

Main Responsibilities

The role will involve working in support of the physiotherapist in the assessment of patients, facilitating timely discharge, delivering physiotherapy treatment programmes as part of an individualised plan of care and promoting independence.

A health-related NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification is essential for this post. Previous experience of working in the NHS or hospital and MDT setting is desirable.

Essential

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent plus knowledge of specific patient conditions and forms of therapy/exercise delivery acquired through training and experience
  • IT skills

Desirable

  • Experience and knowledge of Health & Safety issues
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Working with patients with complex rehabilitation needs
