Job Summary:

The Mineral Surveyor will play a key role in delivering high-quality, expert advice to our clients across the UK. As a member of our Mineral Estates team, you will work closely with specialist chartered mineral surveyors, valuers, planners, geologists, and mining engineers to provide property solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and varied role that requires travel throughout the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled Mineral Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the expansion of our successful mineral estates business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral development and relevant property issues, with excellent knowledge of mineral planning and development work, management of mineral assets, and valuation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to clients on mineral development and property issues
  • Work closely with the Mineral Estates team to deliver property solutions that meet client needs
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to identify opportunities for mineral development
  • Prepare and negotiate heads of terms for leases and other property agreements
  • Manage mineral assets and provide valuation services to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans

Requirements:

  • First degree in Mineral Surveying, Estates Management, Mineral Planning, Geology, or similar
  • Professional membership of the RICS or other relevant professional body
  • Excellent working knowledge of mineral development and relevant property issues
  • Experience of producing heads of terms for leases and other property agreements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills
  • Strong negotiating and communication skills
  • Good business and commercial awareness
  • Full UK driving license
