Job Overview

We're seeking a highly motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Singapore Airlines Lounge, Heathrow Airport. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll play a vital role in preparing and creating delicious dishes for our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Wash and sanitize utensils, dishes, and equipment, and store them appropriately to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Sort, store, and distribute ingredients, ensuring that all food products are handled and stored correctly.
  • Prepare and cook foodstuffs, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking ingredients, as well as assisting with the preparation of salads and desserts.
  • Dispose of rubbish and recyclables, and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area.
  • Organize linen laundry and ensure that all kitchen equipment and tools are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate.
  • A casual role with opportunities to progress to a contact position, subject to completion of probation and obtaining a full airside security pass.
  • A shift pattern of 35 hours per week, with 4 days on and 2 days off.
