Job Title: Senior Paediatric AudiologistWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paediatric Audiologist to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our Paediatric Audiology Department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive audiology services to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and implementation of audiology services for children, ensuring high-quality care and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and mentor junior audiologists, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for improving audiology services, including the use of technology and innovative approaches.
- Provide clinical assessments, hearing aid programming, and other audiological services to children, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, paediatricians, and other specialists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Registered Audiologist with RCCP (Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists) Initial qualification may be BAAT Parts I and II or BSc Hons Audiology or MSc Audiology.
- Member of the British Society of Audiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
