Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse Oncology Band 6, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to patients with cancer. This role requires a minimum of 6 months paid experience within an oncology ward environment within the last 2 years.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake nursing assessments and evaluations to develop appropriate plans of care based on individual patient needs.
  • Work under own initiative and without direct supervision, demonstrating excellent analytical ability and sound decision-making in changing clinical situations.
  • Display excellent teamwork and communication skills, promoting interdisciplinary relationships and ensuring accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards, ensuring safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.

What You'll Need

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience as an Oncology Nurse within the last 2 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
