We are seeking an experienced and qualified Echocardiographer to join our team. The successful candidate must be BSE accredited and competent to issue independent echo reports, providing teaching for medical and physiologist staff. A BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, registration, and ILS/ALS are required.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be able to perform a broad range of cardiological techniques employed within the department, including advanced techniques such as Stress echocardiography and Tissue Doppler. They will be highly specialized in a full range of echocardiography procedures, including stress echocardiography, contrast or TOE.
Key Qualifications and Experience- Completion of MSc Scientist Training Programme (STP) or equivalent
- Relevant Masters Degree or equivalent - Certified Echocardiographer, holding current British Society of Echocardiography accreditation
- Registered with RCCP
- ILS
- ALS
- Training or Leadership Qualification
- Works well as a member of a team
- Able to work independently
- Able to work under pressure in complex and emergency situations
- Able to take charge and lead a team
- Frequently required to perform tests on patients who are infectious, have distressing conditions or body odours
