Warehouse Supervisor Opportunity

A leading distribution warehouse is seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead the Goods In department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of stock entering the warehouse, including unloading containers, inspecting stock, and booking in products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and review expected deliveries from suppliers to ensure efficient stock management.
  • Receive goods from suppliers, conducting quality inspections to meet standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of 4 in the Goods In department, providing direction and support.
  • Efficiently load and unload containers to optimize warehouse space.
  • Process documentation and accurately book in received items using the in-house computer system.
  • Conduct regular stock taking and checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Communicate with multiple departments regarding stock levels and defects.
  • Minimize mis-picks through accurate product descriptions and barcodes.
  • Set and achieve performance targets for the goods inwards department.
  • Implement effective stock management and control procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a goods inwards department with a focus on team management.
  • Previous experience in inventory control and stock management.
  • Proficiency in using computers and inventory management systems.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and hands-on approach to duties.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
