Corporate Governance Expert for Quality Assurance

Barrington James is seeking an experienced Corporate Governance Expert to join its board as a Non-Executive Director. This role will focus on strengthening the quality assurance frameworks of a rapidly growing biopharmaceutical company.
About the CompanyThe company specializes in the manufacturing of sterile injectable vaccines and other injectables, backed by significant new investment. With a strong focus on scaling, the company needs a seasoned professional to help ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and leadership team on quality assurance for sterile injectables.
- Advise on streamlining processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Participate in 8 board meetings annually to provide oversight and input on key business and quality assurance matters.
- Support executive leadership with expert advice and mentoring, particularly on quality frameworks and operational excellence.
- Must currently be in a senior position, with a proven track record of leadership and experience in quality assurance within pharmaceuticals or biotech, especially in sterile injectables.
- Experience in scaling businesses and implementing operational excellence in regulated environments.
- Previous board-level or senior leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and quality control.

Time Commitment- 8 board meetings per year (approximately 1 meeting every 6 weeks), with additional preparation and ad hoc advisory as needed.
- Total time commitment will be approximately 12–15 days per year, depending on meeting preparation and additional advisory responsibilities.
$150,000 - $200,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
