The RoleWe're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Head of Sector Programmes. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering our sector-specific support programmes. You'll work closely with our Director of Programmes to ensure that our programmes are effective and meet the needs of our students.
You'll oversee multiple sector programmes, working with Programme Managers to monitor progress and ensure high-quality delivery. You'll also guide the Programmes Team to design learning journeys for our students, including events and opportunities tailored to their unique needs.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires strong programme management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating positive social change.
About the JobThis is a senior leadership role within our organisation, reporting directly to the Director of Programmes. You'll be part of our Programmes Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the development and implementation of our programme strategy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering sector-specific support programmes
- Overseeing multiple sector programmes, monitoring progress and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Guiding the Programmes Team to design learning journeys for our students
- Working closely with Programme Managers to manage day-to-day partnership responsibilities and relationship management

About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll have a proven track record in programme management, ideally within a charity or non-profit setting. You'll possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including beneficiaries, partners, and colleagues.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating positive social change are essential for this role. You'll also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines.
Salary and BenefitsOur estimated salary range for this role is £45,065 - £50,215 per annum, depending on location. In addition to your basic salary, you'll receive a range of benefits, including:
- Flexible working hours (37.5 hours per week)
- 25 days' annual leave, increasing to 28 days after 5 years' service
- A comprehensive pension scheme, with employer contributions of 3% (increasing to 5% after 5 years' service)
