We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients in a prison setting. As a Podiatrist with Practice Plus Group, you will have the opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, helping to rehabilitate and support offenders to live purposeful lives as members of the community.
The role will involve working 1 x 4 hour session a week at HMP Pentonville and 1 x 4 hour session a month at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, both based in Warrington. There is no on-call or weekend work to allow for a strong work-life balance.
You will be part of a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and mental health professionals, delivering high-quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 33 prisons across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based care, listening and acting on patient feedback to ensure care is personalized and informed by what matters to patients.
- Deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships, and promoting professional boundaries.
- Inspire excellence in your colleagues by being proactive in the management of foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions.
- Promote best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement.
- Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care.
- HCPC registered with post-registration experience assessing and treating MSK conditions in an outpatient setting.
