Taxation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at SMH BCL Accountants Limited as a Taxation Specialist.

As a Taxation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert taxation services to our clients, including preparing tax returns and advising on tax planning opportunities.

• Prepare personal tax returns
• Prepare partnership accounts and returns
• Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
• VAT Registration and Deregistration
• Forecasts and business projections – not essential
• Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
• Train members of staff and allocate duties
• Company Secretarial Duties
• Preparation of P11ds (desirable)
• Set and work to budgets to meet monthly forecasts

We are looking for a highly experienced Taxation Specialist who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

You must have at least 10 years working in an accountancy practice environment and excellent experience of Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Excel.

• Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience, qualifications and any remaining exams
