About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of our wards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager with the management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care, and setting of standards.
  • Take responsibility for the management of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
  • Facilitate innovative and evidence-based nursing/midwifery practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team.
  • Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Level 1 Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Diploma in Nursing or evidence of recent relevant CPD at diploma level.
  • Evidence of experience in the relevant speciality.
  • Training/experience as Clinical Supervisor.
  • 2 years Post Registration experience in relevant speciality.
  • Able to evidence leadership experience.
